We dearly wish we could be with you in person but for now, we hope you will join us online to celebrate our marriage. The ceremony will be streamed live on this website.
Patrick and Nicole share a love of board games, anything to do with time travel, making each other laugh, their families, investing in lifelong friendships, Jesus, and their cat, Rosa.
If you know Patrick, you know he is kind, dedicated to his loved ones, a bit goofy, and will travel the world in search of new board games.
If you know Nicole, you know that she is loud, silly, a people-person, happiest surrounded by friends, and likes things that sparkle. Patrick thinks she sparkles too.
We met just as one of us was about to give up on dating apps and the other one had just gotten back on them after deciding not to give up on them after all. Nicole asked what board games Patrick was into, and he had a few things to say.
The plan was an improv show and a late dinner afterwards. Nicole was recovering from a cold and a little high on cold medicine. Patrick was late to the improv show and came in after it started. At dinner, we talked about how the live-action Beauty and the Beast was not good, despite what everyone said about it.
Patrick came to Nicole’s birthday party and met all her friends despite only knowing her for just 2 weeks. Nicole met Patrick’s parents 3 weeks in. Basically, we knew from the beginning this was something different.
In the midst of a global pandemic, we celebrated our 1st anniversary. We planned a picnic, but it was raining. So, in the living room, Nicole found the ring in the picnic basket. Patrick got down on one knee and later serenaded Nicole with their song, “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera, on the cello. Nicole may or may not have said "A thousand times yes!"
“Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.”
“How bold one gets when one is sure of being loved.”
“In the right love, we will discovery new love for ourselves.”
